TFT (Ilkley) Ltd. is an fully independent test house that provides UKAS (previously NAMAS) accredited testing for physical and flammability testing of textiles. It is also a recommended laboratory for the Camel and Cashmere Manufacturers Institute (CCMI), based on the results of their international inter-laboratory round trials, for the analysis of speciality animal fibres. The laboratory also manufactures and calibrates test equipment for the laundry industry.
The laboratory was established in 1996 by Dr Bob Aron who has over 20 years experience of textile testing with the International Wool Secretariat, British Textile Technology Group (WIRA) and other textile laboratories. There are two laboratory sites both located in Skipton in the Yorkshire Dales. The Registered office (and accounts) is based in Ilkley.
